Dutch Culture USA facilitates cultural partnerships and the exchange of knowledge in the fields of innovation and creativity, including educational and residency programs. Overall, the office is responsible for implementing the international cultural policy of the Netherlands in the US, and is geared toward stimulating demand-driven high quality arts and culture abroad.

The office is dedicated to supporting innovative Dutch arts and cultural programs by helping build long-lasting relationships between the Dutch and American arts and cultural worlds, while spreading the positive image of the Netherlands and its thriving artistic community and creative professionals. The office provides opportunities to the US audience to experience Dutch work and become acquainted with Dutch culture and artists. It increases the opportunities for up-and-coming creative talent by helping them navigate the US market, which has been instrumental in helping turn ideas into economic successes. The creative industries in the Netherlands are an important economic sector for the Netherlands, employing more than 300,000 people.

It is also important to know what we do not do. We do not promote individual artists or companies, we do not book performances or exhibitions, we do not negotiate contracts and we do not finance American artists wanting to perform or exhibit in the Netherlands. However, we can initiate activities, ensure that they are carried out by operators in the cultural field and provide a certain amount of funding.

Grants
Dutch Culture USA helps artists and creative professionals navigate funding opportunities and has a limited budget available to help support Dutch arts and cultural programs in the US. The budgets are intended for activities initiated by American organizations in partnership with Dutch artists or institutions. Consequently, applications can only be made by American organizations.

Communications
Dutch Culture USA helps increase the visibility of Dutch arts and cultural events in the US by listing them in a nationwide events calendar and on an information portal with additional communications support via social media channels.Visit the website: http://dutchcultureusa.com/
