During the new exhibition The world of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) at the National Archives of the Netherlands (NAN), a series of seminars will be open to the public. In March there will be two seminars which concern shared cultural heritage. The first is on 12 March about Oman and will be given by Abdelkader Benali. The second will be about Ceylon and takes place on 26 March.

The NAN preserves a large portion of the substantial VOC archives that remain to this day. Its wealth of information is one of the largest and most extraordinary archives and has served as a unique source for research for many years. The VOC archives were registered as world document heritage UNESCO in 2003.

Discover many of these treasures in the exhibition: The world of the Dutch East India Company. Explore unique maps, ships' logs, letters, drawings and much, much more, and let the personal stories take you on a journey through the history of the VOC. The exhibition runs from 24 February 2017 until 7 January 2018. Find out more about the exhibition and lectures on the website of the NAN.
