From June to August, IPHAN policy officer Beatriz Otto de Santana will join the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) for an exchange of knowledge.
14 June 2016

During this three-month exchange, Beatriz will conduct research on the Dutch heritage system. The aim of her mission is to gain knowledge and analyse the roles played by the government, the private sector and civil society in the management of cultural heritage in the Netherlands. Beatriz is particularly interested in alternative, non-government financing of heritage conservation and management. The results of the research will be used as input for the upcoming reorganisation of the Brazilian heritage system. The RCE is glad to welcome Beatriz and is looking forward to a fruitful exchange of knowledge.

This exchange is a direct follow-up to the visit made by the president of  IPHAN to the Netherlands in April, at which time a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IPHAN and the RCE.
