Visitors' talk: museum delegation South Africa

On Wednesday 15 February South African museum professionals discuss narratives of the shared past with the Netherlands.

A delegation of South African museum professionals will discuss narratives of the shared past of South Africa and the Netherlands, and the role of South African and Dutch museums on Wednesday 15 February at the Ateliergebouw of the Rijksmuseum. After introductory presentations, the audience is invited to participate in the discussion.

The South African museum delegation consists of Ms Veliswa Baduza (CEO of SAHRA, South African Resources Agency), Mr Bongani Ndhlovu (deputy CEO of Iziko Museums), Ms Nikiwe Momoti (director of Provincial Archive Service of Western Cape Government), Ms Catherine Snel (former president of SAMA, South Africa Museums Association), Ms Vicky Heunis (collection manager at War Museum, Bloemfontein) and Mr Matlotleng Matlou (deputy chairperson of council, Ditsong Museums of South Africa).

The visitors’ talk is jointly organized by the Rijksmuseum, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands and DutchCulture. For more information about the visit of the South African museum delegation and the working visit click here.
