From 2008 to 2011 she worked on various projects that deal with the promotion of cultural heritage, at national and international levels. In order to re-establish the position of heritage, links have to be made visible between contemporary societies and their heritage. Astrid was chair of the AWAD steering committee

  • programme manager heritage from an international perspective at the Netherlands Institute for Heritage
  • personal assistant director general culture and media at Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture & Science
  • Policy advisor on international affairs at Netherlands ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Cultural Heritage Directorate
  • Coordinator Central and Eastern Europe at Netherlands Museums Association
